UnderByte is designed so we cannot see your files.

What happens to files you compress

Your file is processed entirely inside your web browser on your device. It is not uploaded to any server. When you close the tab, the file is gone from memory.

You can verify this yourself: open Chrome DevTools, go to the Network tab, and drop a file on the /app page. Zero requests are made during compression.

What we collect

The /app route does not collect file contents or upload data. Marketing pages may use Google Tag Manager and related measurement tools for aggregate traffic, ad performance, and purchase conversion measurement.

Email addresses

If you email us for updates or support, we use your email only to reply. If you enter your checkout email on the pricing page to restore Lifetime access, we use it only for that restore request.
